| ABOUT THE COTTAGE |
A warm welcome awaited us on arrival, the cottage
and location was beyond our dreams, could not have wished for anything
better. Will definitely return |
Hoppers, Kent |
A fantastic weeks break for all the three of us.
All of the special touches that have been added to Dove Cottage captivated
us; it’s truly beautiful inside and outside. Both Edie and Alistair
make sure you feel home from home. We shall be returning again as we
know its going to keep magical memories for us. Many thanks. |
Spedding Family |
From the moment we first drove into the drive,
Dove Cottage felt like home, and our welcome from Alistair and Edie
felt like we were visiting old friends. We think the cottage is beautiful
– so peaceful. The scenery in this part of the world is splendid
especially around Dove Cottage – we had enjoyable fishing on the
river. We will definitely be coming again. |

What a fantastic place to stay! Beautiful cottage,
beautiful scenery and a tranquil setting who could ask for more! Such
a shame we have to leave. Will definitely come back. Thanks for the
warm welcome and for keeping us in such comfort. |

A super break – something for all the family.
Some great fishing on a lovely stretch of river. Many thanks to Edie
& Alistair for looking after the girls so we could enjoy a few local
ales! |

| ABOUT THE FISHING |
Extremely challenging, but satisfying fishing in
wonderful surroundings. River low and only intermitant rises but the
16 ½ oz brownie on the last evening was my best ever. |
John Woods |
Rain heavy, Monday & Tuesday, Fished early morning, late night for remainder of week EXCELLENT! Plenty of fish. Accommodation first class. Alistair and Edie can’t do enough for you. We will return. Thanks very much. |

| ABOUT THE AREA |
V. comfortable accommodation, beautifully decorated.
A real home from home! Edie & Alistair are the perfect neighbours
and look after the cottage and guests beautifully. Recommend The Herb
Garden at Hardstoft and the Farmers Market on the A515 towards Buxton
– excellent local produce. |
Rachel Woods |
A marvellous location with plenty to do to ensure
that the kids slept soundly! The quality of the furnishings and décor
together with the many thoughtful “extras” have made this
a very comfortable and memorable stay in a real home. Excellent all
round. |
The Sandiland Family |
A wonderful weeks holiday. The countryside is glorious,
especially good in the great weather we have had – one days rain!
We have visited Chatsworth & Haddon Hall and, of course, lots of
walking. Beautiful comfortable cottage and Edie & Alistair so kind
and helpful. Thank you Marilu. |

Fantastic holiday, feel relaxed here even after
only a few days. Recommend Chatsworth Adventure playground for children
and if you don’t have any children borrow some justfor an excuse
to go and play! |
Jo Foster, Gloucester |
I recommend horse-riding at the Hunt Stables at
Over Haddon – beautiful horses and countryside. Also – Blackbrook
Zoological Park for the 2.30 Pelican feeding. Many thanks |
